cricket noise coming from engine????? Any clues?

hey my car is cricketing now to, its at 60k miles and an auto. i think its the belt prob gettin old and slipping cuz it only happens sometimes when im stopped and then itll sit their and squeek. should i replace belt? thatll give me a good reason to put pulley on too haha

the belt is supposed be changed around 40k

Wow... I would've never guessed that it was a belt or the throw out bearing. I honestly thought the poor hamster under the hood was hungry and his stomach was growling. You should feed him more often. But seriously thanks for the wonderful amazing thread. Now I know how to fix a chirp... but what about alll the other shakes and rattles?...

That is why they invented Amps and sub woofers for, covers up the little noises.

I know... I have one, but I also have a girlfriend that doesn't enjoy her butt jiggling everytime she gets in my car, so I have to turn it off. Not only do I have to listen to her, but the shakes and rattles. Talk about driving me crazy! Maybe I should just get rid of the girlfriend and then I could afford a car without the shakes and rattles... naw... I guess I still like the car... and maybe the girlfriend.
