Default Does such a thing exist? A quiet performance exhaust?

I've been looking around at getting a cat-back for my xB, and the only one I've heard samples of is the Magnaflow, which is a bit loud for my taste. What about either the SPFR or the Precision Muffler? I'm looking for something that makes power but is only slightly louder than stock.

Thanks in advance.

magnaflow is the onlyt true cat-back exhaust. the sound is not bad at all for a cat-back. that will probably be your best bet or the stylis axle back.

No such thing as slightly louder than stock, the systems that are out there are a bit more than slightly louder than stock.(mine included) The reason for that is the tranny is geared so low that our RPMs are hard to keep wuiet as it is, so to have a muffler slightly louder than stock can be done, but no performance gain will come of it. I hope this helps to explain my answer.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm just trying to avoid sounding ricey, and I also live in a neighborhood with irate neighbors. They called the cops on my band practice once at 5pm for making too much noise.

you could add a second resonator and that will quiet it down a little bit more.

just add a tip. that will do the job perfectly. you will keep the stock muffler and piping that way.

tips now available at www.precisionmuffler.com !! If you look on the MISC pics area, we have an xB with a red genie kit and all he has is a tip and it looks good.

Does anyone know the tip diameter on the OEM exhaust on the xB? My wife has it right now on a trip; therefore i obviously don't have access to it.

thanks

the oem tip diameter is just under 2inchs and then going to the muffler it goes oval. The tailights are original, he went to the body shop to have it painted. :D Hope this helps, ohh and the oem tip is HARD to take off.

With the high compression of the motor I don't want to put on a power adder just yet. I was thinking free up the intake and exhaust and maybe some under drive pulleys... if anyone makes them for our little toasters yet...

Sooooooooooo, back on the original topic....... Is there an aftermarket exhaust that adds to the performance of a stock Xb that does not increase the noise volume of the exhaust???

nevermind the tail light (which is painted or stickered striped)... what in the world is that color? pink , purple, ? wow..i would never have thought someone would paint the box that color... it's different but ... i would never dare.
