Default Engine swaps

I have no idea who to turn to for some questions I have on my little 03 Echo. I wonder what kind of trouble it would be to get an engine swap from say, a Celica GTS? After the actual cost of the engine I wonder what kind of trouble it would actually be. I know I would need a transmission swap but I don't care.

I have a nice job and am made of money lately.

not alot of people do motor swaps on echo, xa, and box. most prefer to use a turbocharger/supercharger for more power.

if you know how to find a good place that won't rape you it'll only cost about 7 grand total.

This includes the Transmission swap and everything?

What places on your area would you turn to?

Only 7grand?! Great news!

Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to fix up a toyota echo? There are no sites available that I know of. There is a site in Japanese that I found and there's a site in Puerto Rico lol. They don't speak english!

Btw, my Echo isn't the ugly 00-02 one either. It's the 03 Sedan model. There IS hope!

Who does custom fabricating work near Nashville or Memphis? I want a manual transmission and another engine. Money is not an issue.

Any advice please!

One day I hope to stop bugging the Scionlifers lol

...now leave us alone!

lol, jk. your not bothering anyone, but you shuold use the search function. most of the upgrades are interchangeable....but i would strongly suggest if money is not an issue you get another cat, or at least start with a 5spd instead of swapping.

I have already custom molded an R34 front end, custom roof scoop,Impreza skirts, 02 Vis rear bumper and Lambo doors. The car is painted 2-tone ( black/blue )and totally dynamat'd. 18" rims, Toyo Proxes custom painted rims.

Not to mention a TON of other mods here and there like lighting and custom angel-eyes ( I had to make my own ).

This car is TOTALLY one-off. I could have pimped out 4 Honda Civics in the amount of time and money it took to make one of these. The after-market gives the Civic a BJ w/ accessories and engine-swap options.

I'm making a one-off widebody kit too atm.. and yes, you can make your own parts w/ carbon fiber. Alot like fiberglass actually.

Just letting you know that I'm serious here. Not trying to brag or be a know-it-all.

I have the heart, I have the money. Point me in the right direction, if you know it . That's all I'm asking.

**EDIT** I'll check that site out. I've seen it before. Those guys are dead lol

Front End = body kit. I didn't chop the front off of a skyline or anything. That would be blasphemy!

I am in Iraq atm. Let me get the wifey to send some of the older buildup pics for ya

I dunno if I can take the pics from gmail or not.

Word has it that Europe will be getting a Yaris with the Corolla 1.8. That means it would also fit the xA/Echo/xB. We can hope?

yeah, we are getting it too, we call it the 2008 scion xd...you know, a 4 door yaris hatchback with the 1.8 liter corolla engine...yeah...so the best thing to do is trade in your xa or xb for an xd. quickest most painless and reliable way.

u had me until you wrote you placed a roof scoop on the car...

r34 front end? you mean front octane"replication r34" bumper, correct? b/c your ideas of what you are doing really resemble what ive done...and if i was in the s2k forum i would be posting the GIF of "this thread is worthless without pics"

and i already searched for the 2zz-ge about a year ago...its hard to find and lucky if you even get a good price even when u find it...it would take another heap amount of money to drop it once you find it b/c of the customization..

not worth it tho...have you looked at the supposed yaris GT model? in europe so i heard ...read somewhere about it a while ago..boosted it has potential...but it was concept at the time i read it..dunno anything further..

i aint here to brag either but if you've got the money do it...but those who have done it dont tell no one (protect their investments and hard work) or cant afford to...its not a cost effective modification.
