Three engine hp seems about right, with header and cat-back (2 whp). I saw a dyno on this recently at:
www.importtuner.com. Search for "Scion xB", and then select "Power Page"
It is a nice write-up. CAI sure adds the most. 5 peak whp. My brother is from Fairfield, be visiting onthe 22nd, perhaps see you there. Can't be that many xB's up there.

Here is the link to the dyno run that koalaty2 referred to
http://www.importtuner.com/tech/0406...ion/index.html

In that test the DC exhaust was only worth maybe 1HP. In the 2004 issue of Import Racer, they tested the Magnaflow Cat back and had good results.

They picked up 5HP and 2TQ

i dont expect an exhaust system to perform optimally until an intake followed by headers are installed. power in these cars seem to come as a whole, as opposed to any significant gains with any one part.

and yeah, there are a lot of choices besides DC. mine just happen to come stock with a DC, but you won't hear me complaining!

another thing is most exhaust systems tested are just axlebacks. theres only so much you can do with the stock crapinator of a resonator , and stock very minuscule 1.75 piping.

i'm running conservative exhaust with custom cat back with only 2.0 piping and along with megan racing header , and aem aftermarket "l" pipe intake as well as ground kit and a few minor mods am running 16.00 quarter miles so....

I actually called DC Sports to inquire about the exhaust on the RS2.0 - they said it adds 5 hp. So now we're up to 113.

This sound legit?

Axle backs only really give you a gain of 2-3HP and up depending on other add ons.

No.. it sounds like marketing BS. You will be lucky to see any gains. You will see one HP if you're lucky. Buy it for the sound, and don't expect anything more. Dynos have a margin of error that can't measure gains that low.

No, you will only gain a few horses w/ an axleback. 5 hp? not likely, especially from the DC axleback.

That's also assuming that we are getting 108 to begin with... From what I've read, these tests are usually done with prototypes and such because they are still in the process of the manufacturing...
