Default an experiment with the stock airbox vs. injen sri (((xA)))

i desided to try an experiment today with my two intakes i have (stock and injen sri)

before

after

as you probly noticed that i took off my intake snorkel

from the two the sri all it had going was the awsome sound that comes with it and its chromey too

when i put the stock airbox back on seems like i picked up some more torque

(btw i have the K&N drop in airfilter in the airbox 33-2211)

i could put the snorkel back on should only take about 5 minutes to do snaps back in and bolt it back onto the body

with the stock airbox back on i lost the cool sound that came with the sri but thats cool with me godda make small sacrifices for the quest for more power

but then again it could be all in my head idk...

I think it's all in your head. Except for the intake noise, you probably really heard that.

^^^ I rather have more torque than hp, too. All I really want from the car is to be able to safely pass another car on the highway.

I don't seem to have any power defiencies... I have found that I have plenty of power to safely pass mmost anytime I want, even on 2 lane roads.
You just have to set the pass up right.

That intake has a bad filter location. In the xB, my InjenSRI made the car feel much quicker.

Do all short rams for the xA put the filter right next to the engine like that

I haven't seen any short rams on xA's... I'd like to know where the filter ends up as well...

that is sad that you had to resort back to the factory "heater intake box" to get more power..... you xA guys should speak up to these manufacturers and get some real product on the market
