Default found the perfect trany... IF it fits...

so i came across a nice trany... but not sure if it will bolt to our engine... it's a FWD FFD style trany, the Starlet EP82 C52 5 speed manual.

1st 3.166 *about 40mph at 6,000rpm
2nd 1.904 *about 68mph at 6,000rpm
3rd 1.310 *about 96mph at 6,000rpm
4th 0.969 *about 130mph at 6,000rpm
5th 0.815 *about 155mph at 6,000rpm
Final Gear Ratio 3.722
reverse - being it's before the C55 and up tranys, this will be 3.250:1

60mph in 5th would be about 2,700rpm so it's not much of a save but it helps. just need to know if the EP82's C52 trany fits or not or if atleast the gear box and be thrown onto the C150 bell housing. if i found out that it can fit just fine, i would highly recommend that this be used on a T/Ced or S/Ced 1nzfe instead of stock... some complain enough already of gutless'ness, with those gear ratios you'll get more gutless'ness if you don't have some sort of extra power to push those gears.

i've also emailed the Drive Shaft Shop to see about further info if they've toyed around in that area or not. that way if they have then i can figure out if thier upgrade axels for the xB will still work fine or if customs will be needed.

an update... C50/C150 trany is the same as the C52, just a stronger version that eventualy replaced the C50 and will bolt to the 3SGTE and if thats the case, being the C50 and C150 have the same bolt pattern, it will bolt to the 1NZFE aswell. so if anyone is up for a trany swap for atleast a longer final drive, the C52 from the Starlet EP82 is the one to go with. that being said, if it's the same thing as the C50/C150 family, then the transaxels for the xA and xB should fit *assuming that is*, still checking up on that though.
