I have read the threads 100x 's, but I have not found my answer yet. The funds are starting to tighten up a bit so...Will I really gain much more Hp from a Axle-back compared to a regular free flow muffler? At some point I will go with a actual Cat-back, but for now I want the car to sound a little deeper. Is it worth the $$$ for a axle-back when I will be changing in the near future? :?

Check www.precisionmuffler.com, Gabe has a free flowing manifold back system that is made from all magnaflow components. That comes with the free flowing cat 2.25" pipe front to rear. it bolts right in no modification. priced around 4 bills. check it out. Gabe dyno it it on his own car and 103.6 hp at the wheels with no other modifcations. Bill

ok, so money's tight now, but you plan to open up the exhaust later? Your going to have to settle for an axle back for now, but I would recomend a certain one first. Also I need to know if you have an auto or a stick. It makes a huge difference for the set-up I would advise to you. let me know. :D

I have a auto... Would I be better off just paying $60 for a muffler and have shop slap it on for $20=$80 or spending $250 for the axle-back and forget about upgrading later?

you can always upgarde later, you just gotta remember that the auto will always be louder becasuses its a 4 speed tranny. Now stay tuned to precisionmuffler.com , I am going to add an axle back for autos late monday or tuesday morning. Very cool muffler might I add and still the same ground clearance as the first axle back!
