Default Fujita Intake..Just got it for the xB..

Just got the Fujita short ram for the xB. It’s so cool, the duffle bag and hat are dope.

I was really surprised to see it comes with Hose Techniques hoses and T-Bolt clamps. Installing was easy and quality of the entire product is amazing.
The car feels more responsive and the sound is real deep. I am very pleased with this intake. I would highly recommend it over the other companies.

Find more info here: www.f5air.com

Here are some pics of it

I got mine too! WOO HOO!

I too was surprised to see the Hose Techniques hoses and the T-bolt clamps.

Nice, very nice parts indeed!

And the vent tube on the intake is AFTER the MAF sensor also.

Also worth mentioning, is the fact that INSIDE the intake is clean.

The short ram I currently have for the next few days(until this is installed), had to be cleaned up because of all of the polishing compound and dust that was inside of it when I first got it. I know for a fact that it caused some peeps to have CELs in the beginning.

Not the F5 short ram, its ready to go! No prep work needed!
The hat and duffle bags are nice incentives also!

Very nice F5!

Vito,

Yes, they sure do. I would have never thought I would see t-bolts included in any aftermarket part.

Of course I knew about this back in May sometime.

OK... the specs sound great. The hat and duffle bag are a nice touch. Even the price is reasonable enough!

But what about some dyno numbers?! I am chomping at the bit to buy an intake for the wife's box, and I am leaning to this one. But without some sort of dyno number to back them up, I just can't do it.

So one of you guys that have one, get to a dyno! I expect nothing less than those 40 hp gains they saw on the 300C! :p

I don't know about dyno numbers, but it should be the same or better than the SRI I currently have. I'm leaning towards better just bynlooking at the F5 intake by itself and the changes between the one that is currently installed, and this one.

DUDE WHO CARES ABOUT A DAMN DYNO, ITS A DAMN INTAKE! its not meant to do much, but help your car breath better, if you really think its necessary to get a dyno for an intake, you have problems. Just wasting the 100 or 200 bucks to ven get it on the thing for what, 8 HP?! WHOOOOOOOO

They really did good with this intake. It looks like they included some very detailed installation instructions for the people that arent really too familiar with putting in an intake. Im very impressed with this company and they seem very consumer friendly. I still cant get over the fact that they used T bolt clamps instead of cheap hose clamps. That should say something right there to everyone. I dont think I have seen one company yet to go that extra distance. If I had my xB still, Ill tell you right now I know what kind of intake I woulda replaced my old one with

All intakes are tested on the dyno, they have one in there facilities. It's super nice.

But I agree with the other post, it's just an intake can't expect miracles. It does sound real nice though.

Look at it this way...

I understand that there will not be a huge increase in power from an intake. And I understand that every dyno, and every day is different. So unless the dyno runs are done on the same day, or under very similar conditions on the same dyno you really shouldn't compare.

However, historically there are intakes that do well, and intakes that don't do so well. I assume that this Fujita will be one that does well. At least by comparing it's design to others out there. However, when talking about motors with as little horsepower as ours, there is a big difference between 2 hp and 8 hp. If you could spend the same amount to get a 2% power increase or a 10% power increase, what would you do?

My other concern would be CARB certification. Being as I am in California. Anyone know if and when the Fujita will be getting CARB certified?
