I think it may be time...80 miles worth of traffic every single day is paying it's toll.

wow..under warranty?? I didn't expect the clutch to be covered. That's pretty awesome. I that it will be under warranty and they'll fix it for free...that would be awesome.

it is a wear item and i dont know how many miles u have. part of the reason i prolly got mine covered is i bought 3 cars from them and they r the only ones that do the service. dealer loyalty goes a long way. if u r a loyal customer, advise them of it and then see about getting help with it. u can always try another dealer. some will do it hoping to bring in loyal customers.

yeah i'm not very loyal. i quit doing my free oil changes after i had to wait 2.5 hours for the first one...and that was with an appointment. But anyways, I'm going to get it checked out and go from there.

For the same $700-$800 you can probably go to a local clutch or transmission shop and have an aftermarket Stage 2 or better clutch installed. The aftermarket clutch will last you a whole lot longer than a stock replacement. And if you think about it, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Oh I know that, I just wanted to see what kind of rediculous quote they gave me and I figured having them check it out and diagnose it will just be easy since it's on the way home from work. If it comes down to needing a clutch I will definately get something sweet installed since I enjoy driving my box like a race car

Mine went out after only 20,000 miles - stealerships only cover for 10,000 miles or a year. Took it to Subaru/Mazda for a $300 install. Stage 3 btw.
