4-2-1 will give you better low end gains, you'll feel the 4-1 at the top end.

I have the MMW (Weapon-R) 4-2-1 and it's great.
If you want a 4-1, I'd recommend the Strup.

I have always liked my header and exhaust to be made by the same manufacturer. Just a personal preference though, not sure if it makes a difference performance wise. Burstaneurysm is right, 4-2-1=low end and 4-1=top end. I have the Strup header and exhaust and love it. After about 4000rpm you really feel it pull.

I personally haven't owned a Greddy product so I don't want to say yes. I do have a few friends (Honda drivers) that have owned Greddy parts and have never complained. The good thing about companies like Greddy and HKS is that they have been around much longer than Scions have, so you can trust that they are not some fly-by-night company trying to cash in on a relatively new market. So... while I can't say that a Greddy header is good for the xB, I will say that I would be comfortable buying one from them. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Go with the cheap ebay ceramic header. It's a 4-1 and I felt no loss on the bottom end. Mid-range is about the same but top end was improved. It has great welds and a thick flange.

X2 The ebay ceramic coated header is a high quality piece and gets the job done. Save your money for other mods. The ebay one was like 60 bucks shipped and fits like a glove.

Yeah, we only have one header as oppossed to a V8 which has a pair, one for each side.
Headers on an xB has always bothered me too!

BTW, I had a 71' Chevelle but in brown back in 82'. It was sweet!

Just buy the cheap one anything is better than stock,If you have seen how smashed and restrictive the stock one is you would agree.
Dont but pretty on something you have to twist your head around backwards to even see.

Not a sermon,Just a thought.

If you could see it like the tC I could see spending money on a pretty one.
Bottom line is that the ebay one serves the purpose while saving money. It flows way better than the weeny stock one. I can't see the logic in spending that much for a named brand header.
