I was on the freeway lastweek speeding with a infiniti G35 and going downhill. by the time i looked at my speedo i was right under 120 so probably 118-119. then had to back off coz my tires are rated for 100mph.

I thought it was goverened at 109/mph.

The performance estimates from this site look like this ...

C/D-estimated performance:
Zero to 60 mph: 9.0-9.8 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 35.5-40.0 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 17.4-18.0 sec
Top speed (governor limited): 109 mph

. The yellow ones must hit the "zone" around the same speed.

This seems to be turning into a monthly thread. As was stated last time, the xB is NOT electronically governed. Period. Regardless of what the magazine seems to think. Depending on altitude, modifications, tires, weight, etc, the top speed can vary by a few mph. The speed limiting factors for the xB seems to be a combination of drag and mechanical (RPM) limits. Some people have bounced off the rev limiter in 5th, others have not been able to overcome the extreme drag at those speeds. IIRC, NO ONE had a picture of a GPS verified top speed, which is the ONLY reliable indicator, apart from a properly calibrated radar/laser gun. Speedo indication means nothing. For what it's worth, my speedometer has seen 120, flat land, in Nebraska. I did not bounce off the rev limiter. Stock tires, see other mods in my sig.

I know that there is no governor on my manual xb.... I have not hit 120, but can say that the car will do 115 with 2 extra passengers.

Now THAT'S what I like to read. I would be happy to do the same, just lack the equipment. I used to post on a Turbo Hayabusa forum, where obviously top speed is a big deal. In threads similar to this one, people didn't even bother posting a speed without a picture of their GPS screen. You just don't get taken seriously.

120 but my speedo is a few MPH faster than actual. And yes I verified that with a radar gun. In reality at 120 on the speedo I was more accurately doing about 115 maybe 116. Friends with radar guns can be useful...

the only part of this you are missing is MT or AT...

MT will have a higher top end...

been to 124mph (radar checked).
MT, I/H with moderate weight 18's

First time I've ever heard of this. But I mostly just like to look at the pictures. Reading is way too hard.
