How long does a clutch last in 2005 xB?
First off, I would like to say that I love my 2005 xB. Its one of the best cars I have ever owned. Its easy to park, a joy to drive and easy on gas.
I also have to add that I don't like the 2nd generation of the xB. Sadly, my xB needs around $800 in exhaust work in order to get up to speed.
The car has around 156,000 miles on it as well. The clutch is a little soft. Body is intact other than some surface rust on the roof due to some hail damage some years back.
Wondering if its worth fixing? Thoughts from the group?

Whether it's worth it or not is totally up to you...what kind of work does the exhaust need to justify $800? You could replace almost the entire thing yourself for that price and have a new catalytic converter and stainless steel cat-back with a muffler.
Clutches are going to depend upon how you and previous owners have driver and if it's been abused, slipped or ridden. If you're not experiencing any signs or slipping of the clutch now then I'd see no reason to consider replacing it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a shop in the DC area who can install an new or custom exhaust for my xB?
