Cool ok. I am getting my Headers and other stuff installed today so I will take the time to "walk" over to an auto store and see if I can get some, but a better quality than the basic.. Thanks

Header?? I am getting the Headers installed today not paining them I will get the Gloss while I wait if I can since I have other stuff being installed.

 

Yes, 4 cylinders and few 6 cylinders only have one exhaust manifold (header). Headers would be for other V6s and V8 and higher. Dual exhaust manifolds. Scions only have 1 so it's a header.

 

YAY! I got home to see my 3Q3 OEM Salsa Red paint can in it's package and I am actually in between a primer coat now. It's late and cold but I want to get it done before I take the car in Sat. Morn. for the Header Install. Could not do the install today.

NOTE: Sanding was a bit of a mistake. I did not need it and it actually makes me have to put on more coats of primer and such. Maybe it's supposed to be that way but

UPDATE: Of course I screw up and get dirt on the second coat, than put my finger on a piece and so on. I am just gonna let it dry %100 and sand it again I think I know why sanding is good now

UPDATE: He he, well I will give myself some credit for a real effort and I am sure it will look good in photos but up close to the naked eye, you will see all the mistakes I made when I put on the prime. Only way I could do it right was 1 buy a new one and start fresh or finish what I had and it will be finished soon. I should be able to put it back on my car in the morning.

I will also post a pic BUT I will do it better next time.

 

Well it did not come out so great but from no fault of my own lack of experience.

Fortunately I had my headers installed and "Killer Glass"!! It will help distract people from the mess paint job.

Thanks I actually have learned allot of things since I started the "do it myself" plan with my xA. one thing I learned was I should be having my performance shop install my stuff I will of course post better clear pics of the cover when I do it again. Now I am trying to hide the screw up areas with pics
