IDIOT TOYOTA TECHS
Ok, so i went for an oil change and they over filled it, the added pressure caused excess oil to shoot out all over my engine bay from the dip stick. WTF, ive been riding my Box lately and there is still excessive amount of oil according to the dip stick. WTF cmon. it spilled all over the alternator and everything. I'm going to go report it so that they now they ____ed up and if anything messes up after this its there fault, but is there any negative to having that excessive amount of oil still in there. Thanks.
thats what happens when you go to STEALERSHIPS.. get it STEALERSHIPS sounds like dealerships but instead of dealer its STEALER like someone who steals your money..
i hate dealerships, learn to do oil yourself or find a trusy meineke guy or something.. One time the dealership I swear didnt put in oil.. and another time I said I heard this noise with my front left suspension and they said it was because my car was lowered.. so i go to my firends cuz I know there is a probably and we're getting ready to jack it up to take a look and the lug nuts are ALL HANDLOOSE... So they didnt even check it at all, and I could have easily died driving on highways to my friends house..

Ya i know... I am ashamed, I never wanted them to touch my baby but i had no time that week to get it done so i was like F*** it.
Lol but how much oil to drain, do to much then i got to pay for someone else who fu**ed up. So what would happen if i ran it with too much oil till i need an oil change Which is in about 2 weeks

it could cause leaks, oil on external electrical items of the engine isn't good (i've seen an oil spill take out at least two starters), as far as how much to drain...well, all of it and start over, clean up your engine compartment...i'm sure you could get the dealer to do both for free at this point. But, yeah....start doin' your own...no headaches

then add it back till it is right.
then you can see how much they overfilled it.

, there are more ripoff and incompetant independents than there are bad dealers.
My Team has a dealer sponsor. They treat us pretty good. Things like getting us to NOPI on a free ticket and letting us have the maintenance bay once a quarter with technicians. I trust them with Vixen.
It is true though. My old Jeep had to have a new engine. Bought it from a dealer...let's just say that it was not fun.

ok im gonna flame here
i worked at a dealership. a award winning ine for 6 years straight by BMW USA. accidents happen. and if thats the case were they overfilled, then it was your job to turnaround and start explaining your story to the service manager. dont add or take out or do anything. i dont know how long its been since you left the dealer but its probably too late now since you posted back on the 21st and its not march 1st.
so they'll throw your claim right out the window and say oh well.
what you can do if you dont have the resources to change your oil (i cant change my oil or work on my car in my complex. its a violation of the lease agreements) go to a quick lube shop.
they are very good and the good shops use cameras and make sure everything is new and tight and lubed correctly.
our 1.5 holds 4 quarts including a new filter. you can even bring your own oil and filter and save a few bucks.
now you gotta do something soon though. too much oil will raise the oil pressure too high and blow seals. then it will be your fault for not returning to the dealer and not telling them about their error.
