I installed a AEM CAI and cut it down because of the high volume of rain around here. When I shut thecar off, the intake makes a farting noise. Is this normal?

I would think so since the car is "full of gas"...

 

If its like a light "pssshh" sound, then its normal. That "pssshhh" noise is just air. If its more of a harder sound, like a pop or bang, then its definitely not normal for an intake.
