looking for headers
What's the price range and what is your existing setup on the i/h/e? Also, the xa/xb only have one header. I'm running a Weapon-R 4-2-1 and love it. Make sure you wrap it before installing.
I have a Strup 4-1 header for sale. Old thread but still for sale. I could do $120 shipped, already boxed up.

As for the custom 3" exaust, forget it. You won't see any positive power gains and the turbulant airflow will only increase the sound while lowering backpressure and possibly dropping overall horsepower. It would be better to keep the stock exaust or have a custom 2.25-2.5" twin exaust run (higher airflow with similar backpressure). Without a resonator inline in a custom exaust, it would be loud after installing the Strup header.
Also, don't forget the wrap!

I have not dyno'd (with all the other mods, I'm expecting close to 110whp if I did everything right). However, the low end torque/grunt with the 4-2-1 is impressive to say the least. I've added probably 160 pounds of sound deadening by itself, so the extra power was worth it. I spent 260 on that piece. Just make sure you have upgraded your intake and exhaust for the most efficient power gain. The cams are original.

3" would actually increase backpressure do to the weakened exhaust pulse not being about to overpower the atmospheric pressure rushing back up the pipe.
you want a high flow velocity...no more then 250 ft/pr sec
105hp cars do not need anything bigger then 2"
& for the record, twin 2.25" is more area then a single 3" further hurting the situation
cars don't require "backpressure" to make power...but they require flow...& if you get the flow just right...you start to make that 5th engine cycle...the exhaust scalvaging during valve overlap would help produce more power by drawing in more of the air/fuel charge...too big of a pipe will let atmospheric pressure rush up into the combustion chamber & hinder the fresh air/fuel charge from entering...thus hurting power & torque
i can go on & on...
