I did the search and found the same symptoms, but I had an oil change at 3K and the soln for the one who asked before said he was over his oil change limit. I have just hit 4500 miles on my 06 and the maint light blinks 6 times for about 15sec or until I move the car. It does this upon startup. I am taking it in to the dealer tomorrow, but does anyone know what could be doing this?

The could have forgot to clear the light so it was set for 4000 and it'll blink. Try resetting the light (key turned to on, odometer showing, hold fuel reset until all 000000) and set it to come back on at your next desired interval (perform same steps as reset and however many lines are left......1 line = 1000 miles......will determine the next time the light comes on.

When you had your first oil change the maitnance required light was not reset... It was set from the factory to start going off at 4500 miles (to let you know an oil change would be needed soon)and would come on solid at 5000 miles meaning time for an oil change.. You can set when the MRL comes on 3k or 5k and others incriments..
