search search search, this is a messageboard dammit! the whole point of a messageboard is to post up topics. Topics asking questions, stating opinions, giving feedback, links, how-to's, etc. Not to tell a poster to search for their answer. If it annoys you that me and anybody else asks questions that have been answered before, do yourself and others like me favor and hit the back button instead of telling us to "search" and to be honest. The search feature is pretty crappy, I type in Megan Headers and I get about 10% topic related results, the rest are not even remotly related, about OBX headers, some no name ebay headers, or someone saying "I like Megan" thank you hotbox and anybody else who will be giving me non-crap replies

the only headers i would buy again would be megan or the mmw 4-2-1 but that header is 350.00!!!! sure it may have a larger hp gain but god damn!!!

I just started looking for headers and it is between the OXB and Megan ones. now the fun part of saving the cash and not spending it on little things.

im also running the megan header....theres a version 1 and 2... get version 2...the diff ..version one has not beeen tapped ...tapped means there are thereds to screw in to......they only problem i had was it was a little short BUT i think it was because i hit a fat a$$ bump and it puleed my strup axle back ..so otherwise it should be fine...its a very nice header its shiney crome then it turns to a nice gold copper color....by far the best 125 bucks ive spent on the box...very easy install and great power gain..and best of all that 200-300 you save can go to something else cause no header is smog legal so you ll have to take it off later anyways...good luck and have fun...

is this from personal experience? I thought OBX had a good name in the industry. I guess the search continues...

You could search on this forum about OBX. But I have been very unhappy with them, they don't stand behind their products. If you try to use their warrantee they give you the run around. Many many people have been taken by them. Their products may be good, but you couldn't tell by me.

Go with either the megan, or look for a DC sports header( same as strup, same designer) or the 421 mmw one.Buy quality if it takes you a bit longer to save for it, you will be a lot happier than with a cheap pos.

I have the Megan header on my echo hatch. Excellent quality/fit and finish...noticable HP gains in mid-range to top end. For the money it can't be beat. I was very impressed with the welds and the thickness of the flange. I highly recommend using Megan.

it's not about swapping parts when you need to smog. it's if you ghet pulled over and they make you see a ref..

at least that's the problem for me.
