I dig the TRD. Not to much sound but enough if you like or not. depends on how hard you try hear it. LOL.

If you just want style and not noise then you can just get a new exhaust tip.

I just happen to have one for sale too! (shamless plug)

I have the greddy evo 2 and I love it. It rumbles when you step on it but doesn't drone at all.

I suspect that all of the aftermarket "performance" exhausts will be louder than stock, in varying degrees. My TRD definitely is, without being obnoxious, which is what I wanted- a little bit of attitude.

Some of the aftermarket "replacement" mufflers might be quieter- they probably won't have the valve that opens to relieve pressure at higher rpm...

Might check with a local muffler shop to see what's available...

If you just want it quieter inside, then sound deadening the rear cargo area definitely makes a difference....

I was the same way, i didnt want a loud exhaust. I wanted one that sounded good, so i went with the tanabe concept g and i am very happy with it.

So - is that a plus or a minus?

I'm loving my Strup V2.0. When I want it quiet for long trips I pop in the silencer and make it quieter than stock.

BTW, the Strup sounds sweet. Not ricey at all, very deep and tuned.

Does anyone know the db for the OEM exhaust?

Does anyone have any video/sound for the xB and the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust? I read 93 db but now I'm curious on what the OEM level is.

Going to pick up Digital-Display Sound-Level Meter at Radio Shack tomorrow and see what it says for OEM muffler db. I have the entire floor, doors, and hatch sound deadened and foamed and the OEM muffler is still louder then I want. (I hate being at light and being as loud as people w/ fart cans)

I don't think anyone makes an exhaust that's quieter than the stocker.
