Need help asap
you need to remove the upper/serp belt, then get to that one... it pays a shop 1.3 hours to do, so it should take some time.. this is out of the xB manual, same design

REMOVE GENERATOR V BELT
a) Loosen bolts A and B.
b) Release the belt tension and remove the belt.
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

REMOVE VANE PUMP V BELT
a) Loosen bolts A and B.
b) Release the belt tension, and remove the belt.
INSTALLATION
INSTALL VANE PUMP V BELT
a) Temporarily install the belt on each pulley.
INSTALL GENERATOR V BELT
a) Temporarily install the belt on each pulley.
ADJUST GENERATOR V BELT
a) Insert the adjusting bar between the engine RH mount bracket and generator. Push the bar towards the vehicle front to adjust the belt tension.
NOTICE: Do not insert the bar between the oil control valve and generator. It could damage the oil control valve.


b) First tighten bolt A, and then tighten bolt B.
Torque: 18.5 Nm (189 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) for bolt A
54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.) for bolt B
ADJUST VANE PUMP V BELT
a) Using the bar, adjust the belt tension.

b) First tighten bolt B, and then tighten bolt A.
Torque: 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.)
CHECK DRIVE BELT TENSION
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

REMOVE GENERATOR V BELT

doing the PS belt is a p.i.t.a. its just hard to find a good place to find good spot to hold the ps pump tight while your tighten down the bolts i just used an old tire iron from the early 70's works good for me
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, I HAVE A XB 06, I GET SOME BAD SQUEAKING IN THE MORNING. SOME ONE TOLD ME TO LOOK AT TSB EG7026. I CAN NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME AN IDEA WHERE I CAN FIND THAT AND OTHER XB 06 TSB'S. THANKS THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS

Introduction
Some 2004 - 2006 model year Scion XA and xB vehicles may exhibit a squealing noise coming from the engine compartment during vehicle operation. The generator drive belt tension specification has been updated to correct this condition. Please use the following repair procedure to address customer concerns.
Belt part number for this TSB: 90916-02556
Repair Procedure
1. Verify that the noise is coming from the generator V-belt.
NOTE :Replace the generator V-belt if there is any sign of fraying, scoring, or glazing on the belt.
2. Remove and replace the generator V-belt. Updated generator V-belt specification:

got another question when i put my scion into first and so on it over revs and wont pick up speed till the last minute could that be clutch or something else i only had the car for 3 years and reached 60 thousand miles everyone keeps saying its my clutch or my pressure plates I just want a second opinion or a third
