Default OBX 4-2-1 Header / Bracket Issue

So I installed my OBX Header today. Had one problem though. The support bracket that connects at the the bottom of the motor to the header/exhaust wouldnt line up. It wasnt even close enough that we could bend the bracket to line up the holes.

It was late so we decided to just remove the bracket altogother so it wouldnt bang against header/exhaust. The header felt firm with the engine and didnt move much when I gave it some gas. I drove the whole way home trying to listen if I had any rattling when I accelerated or when I hit bumps. Didnt hear anything unusual.

Im going to fab up some sort of bracket with my dad this weekend so we can attach the support bracket to the header but my question is:

should I be worried driving the car around without the bracket?

anyone else with this header have some sort of solution to this porblem?

like I said before, the header felt like it was firmly attached and I didnt hear any rattling at all. just not sure if its safe driving the car around like this.

From my understanding, the bracket issue is very common with the obx units.

Personally i wouldnt really worry, because others have made quite a good point that obx is the only company that even manufactures the header with a bracket, no one else seems to care.

i have the DC Sport header. that doesnt even require the bracket, and i havent had any side effects. still runs good.

I'm considering getting the OBX header. How was the install otherwise, and is there any kind of performance increase?

besides the bracket, which I have been told on this site and on clubxb.com that it is def not a problem since most headers omit that barcket altogether, it was an easy install.

The 5 main bolts and the spring bolts line up perfect. I also felt that merging on the highway is much easier since I dont need to put my foot down so hard to get the car moving. Its more of a smooth merge now.

I only spent $123 shipped + the selller included a new manifold gasket for free. For what I spent I cant complain since most headers would prob give you the same gain as the OBX header.
