OBX raspy go away?
Does the raspyness of the OBX header ever go away. I'm running the Tanabe Touring Medelion and with the new header it sounds like I have an exhaust leak. And yes, I checked for leaks.
But did you check for leaks?? J/K! sorry i couldnt resist, well if youve checked for leaks then it might just be the header, as you know headers make your exhaust note louder, this may just be a side effect of this. If anything you might wanna check for leaks again or get some new gaskets.
Do you still have the stock resonator? If you took it out, it will differently sound raspy, and the header will only make the raspy sound more dominate. That is what a 4 cylinder sounds like. The stock resonator, or most for that matter, are there to clean that sound and make it quieter. So... If you don't have a resonator in your exhaust, don't put the factory back on it, it will be way too quiet. I would suggest adding a small performance resonator to your exhaust. Just enough to filter out some of the raspy sound, but still have a louder tone. You will probably just have to fine the "happy med."
