Default OBX throttle body spacers?

im currently running an i/e/h setup and was thinking about adding the throttle body spacer but wanted to hear what other people have experienced with it? any noticable gains that they claim?

why do they make turbonators and those electric superchargers on ebay...

to make money off of chumps who believe whatever they are told and don't know how internal combustion engines really work.

it shifts the torque band up into the RPM range a little, just like a CAI does vs. a short ram (not as drastically).. says this chump who actually has one (dyno'd)

Nastos:

I beat I/H/E boxes that are the same year and trans as me.. not by much, but every time.. that part is the only difference.. I pull a little longer in each gear, when they are falling off the band..I would say get one

how do internal combustion engines work?

air and fuel is compressed and ignited, to make more power, you must add more fuel, to add more fuel, you have to add more air, either by making it cooler heavier and denser) or compressing it.

a small little spacer isn'g going to make a big difference in power, if it did, i am fairly positive every automotive manufacturer could build them with one on already. this cyclone effect is not going to do anything.

not when MPG's are the gaol vs. performance.. and some do.. Take Honda Si and Type r intake manifolds.. longer neck/runners.. before the injectors.. on the same engine block

i have alittle personal experperience, i put a helix power tower or whatever tb spacer on my old 1995 ford explorer. it did nothing.

hell, i replaced all the intake parts on my explorer, granatelli throttle body and MAF sensor, K&N FPIK intake, nology hot wires.

all i got was louder noise under the intake. but it was still slow as ballz.

well, somebody did an immediate before and after dyno with a tc and a tb spacer, and actually showed a loss in power.

and i know the explorer is not the xb, but a 4.0 liter v6 making 160 bhp, fuel injected engine showing no noticible results...think your 1.5 liter 108 bhp four bangor will make a difference?

i'm just trying to save you some money man, but hey, its yours, go ahead, not my problem.

for comparison I just installed one on my tC, and truthfully it seems to be worth $60. I have a full cold air intake and exhaust, and with the spacer in it got a good bit louder, and I do def feel a small but noticeable difference. I will let you know how my gas mileage does, but hey for as little as these cost, its worth it to try.

I had one on my 94 bronco 351 and it did nothing. Granted they are 50 bucks if you buy and nothing then you arent really losing out that much. I say if you want one go right ahead.
