You would have zero problems with climbing and maintaining speed with a flywheel.

It makes a difference, but we arent talking about a HUGE life changing one. Its not like your messing with the gear ratios or anything.

Need Help. I have an AIRAID TBS for my 2011 xB and I want to know if I will have any problem installing it. Like if I need to adjust the cable of the throttle body? I am not sure about that? I think it doesn’t have that type of system? I don’t have to worry about it and just drop the TBS in between the throttle body and the intake manifold?

shouldnt be any problems because the throttle cable housing stop is on the throttle body...cables, air lines, etc might just get a little tighter as far as reach

Thanks for the info. But, I am finding out that the 2011 Scion xB have an electronic/electric throttle body therefore putting a TBS should not be a problem at all.

So if there is anyone out there with actual knowledge on these (not just what is supposed to happen-I have found a lot of those threads where people say what is claimed but haven't used it or installed it) I would love to hear it. I am looking for whether it worked or not and was it worth it.

1) Throttle body spacer (OBX)
2) Full exhaust cat back (I have the axle back but is it worthwhile to replace cat to axle piece)
3) Headers 4-1 vs 4-2-1 and is the header worth it-does it sacrifice low end???
4) Has anybody gotten the head ported and polished, valve jobs, etc and was it worth it?
5) Performance clutch-does it really help with about stock power?

Thanks
i have the OBX TBS. no dyno results to show but i have noticed a slight increase in tourqe at higher RPM's, especially when the VVT-i kicks in. i will say it was a pain in the ___ to install as it didnt fit with my CAI and i had to move the battery in order to put the intake back on. dunno if this helps.

Thanks for getting back to me; I think the OBX TBS is only for xB1 generation. I have an AIRAID TBS that I am planning to combine with a short ram Typhoon K&N filter in my 2011 xB. Anyway, do you have an xB2 generation? And if you do, did you have to adjust the cable of the throttle body or is that xB2’s don’t have a throttle body cable because it rums electronically? So is that is the case the TBS will just drop in place and that’s it.

Thanks.

You should have no issues installing.
I had a problem with my auto tranny oil dipstick being in the way, but 5 speed is no problem there.

You have a problem with the oil dipstick? I think you are talking about xB 1-generation. I have an xB2 and today I install my Airaid TBS and my Typhoon K&N and it was a piece of cake to put it altogether.

Today I install my Airaid TBS and my Typhoon K&N in my xB2 RS 0.8 it was a piece of cake to put it altogether. And the performance is really good, I love it. I feel the throttle responding very easy, the sound and the rumble is very seduce by just cruising but when you want to go fast you can feel the power when you open the throttle.
