I'm waiting also. I may go with each as I have two powerplants sitting here waiting for work.

I just went for the Perrin now, for the price >$150, you can always chalk it up if the Unorthodox is that much better.

I am very unsure of aftermarket crank pulley's. While they may or may not be right, I've read quite a lot of information on engine harmonic's and balancing, and how adding a lighter weight pulley throws the balancing off, leading to undue stress on the engine. While some comapnies use the crank pulley as a harmonic balancer, some do not. Anyone wish to contact Toyota in regards to if it is a balancer or not?

Perrin states clearly on their website that their pully will not cause engine damage or premature bearing wear. That is a pretty bold statement to be making. But I trust them

Its not gonna cause damage...its pretty much the same pulley as the stock one just lighter in weight!

Someone did contact Toyota at one time and they stated that the engine is internally balanced.

Knowing their history with their Scion parts...I wouldn't trust them...but only time will tell.

I'm unaware, what problems have there been?

Although it was good to see that they responded to the problem, I know it took a while. But the problem was resolved. I am sure they have learned from thier mistakes.

Perrin makes good products, both issues were fitment issues, but once the problem was rectified, these products work flawless...Id like to see one person on this forum that has something bad to say about their V2 pulley. I have both the pulley and the rail on my car and have no problems w/ either

if you dont add larger injectors there is no differance, there is a port on the end of the rail though, that you can connect your nitrous to, the added fuel in the Perrin rail wiil fill the injectors and run the N2O without leaning out. we do know which injectors to bump up to just waiting for them to come in.
