Default Power Steering Vanished

My husband doesn't like to drive my car. He says whenever he does he breaks it. Unfortunately, this is usually the case. He had not driven it in months before last night, but on our way home from a 20 min trip the power steering decided to take a hike.
We did not hear or feel anything, and the car runs still runs great. I just had the serp belt replaced, and the power steering one too, I think. What should I be looking for? Oh, this is a 2005 xA with a turbo and no a/c.

how many miles are on it? first thing id check is the belt if it just slipped after install and then the pump itself.

Maybe the pump died? Its possible.. Surely you'd have heard something.. If the belts loose.. it usually squeals..

What you should be looking for, .....is a new xB! Or a MINI Cooper. Which ever the budget allows

Hahaha. Actually I reeeeally want a Fiat 500 Abarth, so I think I will fix my xA and drive it untill they come out in the States

I will hopefully figure out the problem tomorrow. It might be a fuse. The belt is new and there was no noise when it happened. Thanks for your thoughts, tho.
