it's very much so NOT enforced in most parts of the state. Every vehicle I've driven since I got my license a few years ago has had a loud exhaust and it took 3 years before I was ever pulled over for it.

yeah there's that, they are pretty much just like that here.

well, there you go...the make on your ticket is obviously wrong.

i don't know how you'd fight that, i've never had to...the one time i got a ticket, i went in to pay and they told me i didn't have to because my driver's license didn't match. but as far as the other stuff, i'm sure you'd have to go into court.
I wouldn't argue that fact because he rebadged it as a bB....that might open a bigger can of worms.

Default howard county...

i used to live in ellicott city maryland... never once saw a cop in howard county the whole year i lived their, however, since i worked in arundell mills i often didn't deem it neccessary to wait in traffic so i would drive the shoulder of the road exit hopping i guess they call it, and i got pulled over numerous times for that, and i got a ticket for attending illegal street racing venues at the park and rides on saturday nights past 1 a.m. I used to hang out with the mazda forum guys and the techademics guys that created the mischeif movies, infact my car shows up in some of the races in the micheifs series of movies on sidelines and in some of the races. and there is one video i think the gumball rally one were it shows a audi a4 is running from the police and we were in the vehicle behind the cop taping. anyways gonna kill this before a thread jack any further.

p.s. if ur watching the videos looking for an xb that wasn't what i drove at the time try a orange mazdaspeed protege. I'm in at least two of them that i can remember.

So the cop thought it was illegal to have a Honda badge on an Acura?
I better not say any more.

I'm willing to bet there were other "circumstances"

just to show how much some cops suck: I was up in upper Wisconsin and i got pulled over for my stock taillight, yes the taillights. and then he started asking if my trd axle back was stock and he started wrighting up a ticket, for both, when he came back to my car i showed him the book that they have at the dealerships, pointed out the taillights and that TRD means toyota racing and he go's ohhhhhhh and ripps the ticket up and tells me to have a nice day

That really sucks and I'd fight. I got pulled in VA in my old car and they never said anything about my exhaust, just my neons. I'd ask how many tickets they plan on giving to the good ol' boys with dual exhaust that aren't "factory"

I feel for ya bro! It's kinda funny thinking about all those HD riders with the open short pipes on their bikes that you can here over a mile away that NEVER get pulled over and ticketed. Just take some literature showing that that exhaust came stock on the RS2.0 and you should be golden in the court room. Good luck and keep us posted.

You're right I forgot about all those new "Chevy" pickups with the NON STOCK duals sticking out the back. They must have a field day writing tickets to them.

Dated April 4th

"Annapolis, MD police launched a noise abatement program Tuesday in the downtown area.

Responding to citizens’ complaints, the department is hoping to crack down on loud noise from vehicles, particularly motorcycles and car stereos.

Officers will deal with violators on a case-by-case basis, but violators can expect warnings, tickets or even arrests depending on the severity of violations.

The city has an ordinance that prohibits music from being heard more than 50 feet from a vehicle. "

If I didn't have a security clearance and a previous criminal history, I would drive around town with open headers just to see if I got arrested...

did he mess up on the vehicle model? if he did it's null. If he put bB or what looks like bB, instead of xB, the ticket shouldbe thrown out.
