Default Question about the RS*R exhaust for the xB...

I've searched the boards here and have gotten mixed comments about the sound of the RS*R. Everyone agrees that its a good deep tone, but some people say that its not that loud while others say that it's very loud. o_O I don't want anything that is crazy loud is this the exhaust for me? I love the way the RS*R looks, but if its too loud I'm thinking of going with the greddy SP2.

Oh and I've heard the exhaust clip, but clips are kinda relative to how close the mic was to the exhaust and how good the mic is...so i can't really go by that, but I do love the tone.

I've heard the RS-R in person, a local in Austin has it on his box. I've followed him on the highway, and it seems pretty loud.

Also, he stated that at highway speeds, it does drone.

However, this exhaust doesn't sound like rice at all, very nice and deep, just too loud for me.

If you want a quiet exhaust, go with the GReddy SP2, or a Tanabe exhaust.

Sure, he'll be at my house when I'm installing springs this weekend. I'll ask, and pm you.

thats awesome man thanks alot! with thoes springs the rear is really easy, the front might give you some trouble if you don't have compressed air trying to loosed the strut bolt. I took the front struts off and took them to a local shop and for about $40 had the hardest part done and just slipped them back in. The faq posted really makes it simple. later.

Yeah, I've done my springs, no problems at all. It's all common mechanical sense.
