Default Qustion about the intake mani....

Will the intake mani off of the 1ZZ-FE bolt up to the 1NZ-FE? Also, if it does will there be a noticable difference with it? At work today one of the used car techs had a 99 coralla in his bay with the 1ZZ-FE in it and it seems like it has a good intak mani. The manifold has some long runners on it compaired to the 1NZ-FE runnners.

oh, I forgot to mention its the aluminum mani not the plastic one. I noticed that some of the 1ZZ-FE's came with plastic manifolds.

The celica 1zz has a plastic manifold, I'm pretty sure it won't bolt up to the 1nz, I'd be interested to hear your results though.

the corola, I think it was the GL comes with the aluminum mani. I have found some 1ZZ-FE's for sale with plastic and metal manifolds on them. I just cant seem to find any manis for sale. All I can seem to find is the whole engine.

yeah the older corollas (2001) had an aluminum intake that looked like an exhaust header. supposedly a very good design . still dont think it'll fit tho

I would like to try and see if it will fit. I just need to find an intake mani. I cant seem to find them anywhere, plus I dont want ot spend a lot of money on it because I am not sure if it will fit or not.

it won't fit. why would you want to go to an aluminum intake manifold anyways? it's heavier is a poor insulator and the port matching is worse than with plastic. Only reason I can see to get an aluminum intake manifold is to polish it... you'll loose some performance though.
