Short Ram intake vs. Cold air intake???
#3
The sri is better for low-mid range power while the cai is more for mid-high rpm power. Check out the forum n different parts supplies as u box guys have alot more caisri intakes which is just a short ram intake that gets cold air from the fenderwell like a cai instead of warm air from under the hood like a conventional sri. I believe Injen, Fujita, and YDR (correct me on that but its a really good knockoff of the previous two) are makeing the cold air sri intakes which will give u the most bang for the buck.

On a box, it doesn't matter. Both are taking air from the same relative area. The SRI has less bends in it, so it isn't as restrictive.
But yea, either way, the filter is sitting inside the fender a CAI filter sits maybe 8 inches below the SRI filter so the difference is negligable. I'd go SRI, it's less restrictive and cheaper. I recommend Fujita.

Good choice. If you have an 06, the MAF cable is going to be a bit tight, but it will fit.
Also, guitarguru, you can't go with just any ebay knockoff. The YDR is often considered to be a perfect copy of the Injen and is pretty decent, but others have poor build quality. The diameter of the pipe is off, and if the mount point for the MAF sensor is not right, it can lead to CEL.
