Even if it did something (which I doubt it would), your ECU would probably compensate for it within 300 miles, and it would be more worthless.

Don't buy it...

30$ for 10 hp...................you'll never see that in anything that is actually functional.

The ECU will either reject it's settings and override it, or completely bypass the "controller" completely.

If it is what I think it is (a resistor) it basically tells your car that the temperature of the air outside is 32F (I think) for a more rich fuel/air mix. It does add horsepower but I doubt it's even close to what the claims are. It requires you to cut up factory wiring, which is never a good idea.

actually I have had performance tuners... one was a HyperTech for my
94 trans am when I had that car... it worked well with a lower-temp thermostat..

HOWEVER those chips optimize the car to run with 91 octane.. the factory retards the timing a bit because they know people will cheat and put in 89 or 87 sometimes... I got very good results with that chip.. but I have no idea what these things will do on a scion.. that can't make use of higher octane fuel anyway...

I'm sure the HP claims are exaggerated.. like intakes where they say 16-20 and they've been dyno proven at about 4-6... but i'm still curious...

well $30 isn't that much even if it is only like 2 or 3 horsepower. The averages are probraly for cars with much more stock horsepower (Mustangs, Camaros etc) so it will add more hp to those. But on a car that's stock horsepower is just over 100 I wouldn't expect much more then 5.
