someone please explain performance clutch systems for me
ok sooner or later i'm going to get a performance clutch for my GREAT xB, but someone please explain to me what the hell the difference is between a stage 2 and a stage 3 or 4. and also what kind of gains i can expect to get.
if info on this would be great.

The higher the number the higher the "performance" of the clutch. Meaning, it has better grip. Usually with a harder push to engage and grabbier, so it's harder to get off the line smoothly. Harder to feather, you know what I mean? But it'll handle more paower without slipping.
Stage two, Maybe three is all you'd want AFAIK. Anything higher and it becomes hard to drive on the street.

Peraonally, if I were going to replace the clutch with a higher-performance unit, I'd get the stage 1; 2 at most, or whatever the next upgrade from stock would be. I think, unless you''re running forced induction, that anythign else would probably be a waste on such a small engine.
Thoughts?

from what I read, I belive that. I have a spec-3, I think, in the basement waiting to go in, but I need a flywheel first.
So, with a lightened pully, flywheel, and spec-3 clutch, I'm sure to have a good time from red light to red light
