Sorry for creating ANOTHER intake question thread, but after searching and searching, i could not find anything that helped me, and well, everyone knows all the off-the-wall random stuff the search engine throws at you when you search for something simple.
i'm thinking about adding an intake just for the added sound, and only have one concern that'll decide what brand and type i'll get.
Has anyone noticed a loss in low-end torque after adding a CAI ?
Same question as above, but with an SRI?
The low end torque that's produced when using the stock air box is perfect for daily driving for me, and any loss in this would be unacceptable.
Of all, i'm thinking about adding an Injen SRI

I have an INJEN SR. I know that with the CAI on my Matrix I lost a bit on the low end. With the SR, I noticed an improvement in the upper low to mid range. I still get roughly 30mpg while traveling at around 80mph w/ 18 inch staggered fit wheels.

maybe a slight loss until 2k rpm, but then again, I also have a custom 2.25 inch exhaust and header. When I initially installed the SR I noticed a slight drop, but the gains for outweighed the slight loss.
SRs are great for accearation and the low end, where CAIs benefit the top end and freeway driving that's up in the RPMs.
I prefer SRs over CAIs since SRs tend not to have bends that create turbulence inside the intake.

Sounds great to me. I'll be getting an injen SR then. I've had experience with injen before. I bought an Injen RD CAI for my civic and i enjoyed it! Other than lossing a little low end, around 3k it screamed BURRRRRRRRRRRR, and WAAAAAAAA around 6k, haha. It was nick named the Cyborg by Injen, and it was obvious why. (it had an odd sci-fi sounding BURRRRRR when around 3k.)
I've never dealt with an SR before so i don't quite know what to expect in terms of sound. Any noticable noise coming from the intake?
