Spilled Gear Oil during refill, okay if it’s a little short of capacity?
I have a 2005 xA with manual trans, and was putting in new gear oil but I used a funnel instead of a pump (lesson learned)
and ended up spilling probably a tablespoon of oil that I wasn’t able to get back into the transmission.
I had exactly 2 quarts of Redline MT-90 that I was using, I know the capacity is 2 quarts for this car.
Will I be okay as is or should I add a little more oil to be sure it’s right at the 2 quarts?
Will it be okay if it’s at, say 1.95 quarts or so?

Thanks!
You should be fine.
I would recommend sticking something like a zip tie in the
vent (upper) hole to verify that you are indeed close to full though.

So when I changed mine I'm pretty sure i read that you could just take some detent thing out of the top and just fill it up and thats what I did... I don't think i've had any over filling problems. Have others done the same or is everyone else going by the book and i've gotten it wrong and gotten lucky?

Exactly what I did also...pulled that out and filled through the top until it just started dripping out of the fill plug hole...figured that got me to the "0 mm level."
