if it was me, i would do a 2zz or 1zz. there is quite a few wrexked gt's& gt-s' out there. there is also a lot of R&D that has been done on both motors. ATR just released a turbo kit for the gt-s that still has bugs to be worked on.

if a gt-s can get very low 15's bone stock with an average driver, it is still an improvement over a stock xB. add an intake/ported header or Trial header/2,5" exhaust/power fc and you will have a good platform to start on. that combo right there will get you around 180-190whp. just get ready to only be able to use premium gas. 87 or 89 is a no no on the 2zz.

i have a matrix XRS that has the 2zz and i got a best of 15.5@91 bone stock. the xB is a lil lighter and can have potential.

the only issue is cost. especially for being innovative. it can be done, but it will be a tight fit.

McBain: Stop being an mean ___ forum troll, nobody appreciates your lame ___ opinion.

Anyways, any swap is possible, but remember you need to have special EVERYTHING. Tons of items will have to be fabbed up.

Unlike a Honda, the Scion xB doesn't have alike motor mounts in different cars. For example the 4th and 5th gen Accords had F-series engine in them, but you could swap in a H22 from a Prelude without any custom work.

^about the weight of j-lo's a$$!

yeah it is a lot of weight. hell, the tC weighs more. i didn't believe it at first when they first came out. i guess most cars nowadays are getting heavier.

BTW, what is the curb weight of an echo? those gotta be light.
