Default Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper for xB - Pictures & Info!

This is the Super Medalion Hyper exhaust system for the Scion xB. It is available now!

Part number: T4081A

This exhaust system is a single exit, single muffler axle back system that connects to the factory piping. The exhaust is lying down sideways in the picture.

Fitment:
Direct bolt on fitment for xB.

Tech Info:
50mm to 60mm piping mandrel bent SUS304 piping. 90mm tip. Full SUS304 Stainless Steel design. This system deepens the exhaust note, but operates well below 95db without the need for a removeable silencer. This exhaust has excellent ground clearance for xB's that are drastically lowered.

here are two pictures of the exhaust installed.

If anyone has pictures of their system installed, please share them! We may want to use your car's photos on our website (with your permission)

We are currently working on obtaining sound clips for this exhaust

Yup, I bought mine back in sep/oct 2003.

Is it quiet? at 3k rpm w/o load it was 78 dB. How's that? So yeah, I'd say it was quiet.

Its so quiet, that at 75 mph, I hear the air being sucked into my short ram over the exhaust note!

Axlebacks, IMHO, no matter which brand, will gain only 1-2 hp. I tend to go to the sound I want for my exhaust note.

That's why I tend to stay away from canister style mufflers and glasspacks as resonators.

I will make one exception, the Strup axleback. Very nice.

We designed this as a high flow axle back system, to provide percentage gain over the base horsepower. The mid pipe section on this car is already a very straight piece.

The lower price, improved exhaust note, aesthetic and ground clearance are the key features.

For our xB enthusiasts, we have recorded sound clips and new pictures of this system under load, which will be posted later today.”
