Default tc engine in an xb?

I looked for similar posts but wasn't able to find one, or any real information on this subject but does anyone know if this has been done, or if its even possible?

i dont know if it would fit due to the fact that the motor and transaxle is considerably wider that the stock xb motor. my lil bro has a xb2 and i was considering the same thing and after a side by side comparison, i've decided that the only way it would work would be some serious modification to the chassis. and to top it off i wouldn't want to see the bill for the swap out. have you seen the thread about swaping out to the toyota 4AZE motor that comes in the older mr2 or lotus elise. it has something like 170 hp stock and can hit 300hp with a turbo.

they are rwd but a mid-engine rwd. i used to own a 2002 mrs and the motor sat sideways and to the front of the transaxle, just like in your everyday fwd car. what motor is the 1zz or 2zz? what car does it come out of?
