tC Supercharger
New news. Just gathered from a visit from the Scion sales dept and their rep visit.
Supercharger is a go for August/Septmeber release.
Price $3200 for the unit and a minimum of 5 hours labor.
About $3700 with installation. ( compare with about $3500 for Corolla/Matrix)
The reason it is late...
Apparently the supplier did not feel they could build enough units to handle the suspected sales. So instead of being slaughtered for 6 months of backorders they delayed the launch until Scion could meet estimated demand.
Also it was mentioned that it was able to use stock intake and exhaust. So hopefully it would still pass emission rules too.

1) this is the wrong forum, should be tc power hungry, not xa/xb
2) most of that information has already been psoted, although the dates vary depending on who you talk to. some say end of june, early july, some say aug/Sep
3) without hearing this from a specific TRD/scion rep, this is just hearsay. I don't doubt that the dealer told you this; but these same "rumors" have been floating around for the past few months:
"I heard from the regional sales leader that the TRD will be out in <insert month of choice here> and it will cost <insert dollars here>, and the reason it was late is <insert reason here>" Even scion said in their catalogues, at one point, it would be available late February, 2005.
The truth is, Scion/TRD has compeltely disregarded thier client base but not giving us, their consumers, any official press info. It's absolutely disgusting that they've strung us all along, for the length of time that they have. I really don't even know if I want the damn thing anymore.
I truly beleive that Scion, in an effort to not lose customers to third party turbo options, sends out these tidbits to dealers (misinformation), so that people will get their hopes back up, and not spend their money elsewhere.
