Default Test Pipes, High Flow Cats, and Glass Pack

could someone enlighten me on some of these things as far as throwing a CEL and such........if i was to get a test pipe how would i go about with fooling the O2 sensor that comes after it? would i get a CEL from a High Flow Cat? what advantages/disadvantages is there from replacing the resignator with a glass pack?

thanks guys

up side of glass pack... a little more torque and more power... measured by SOP of course..

downfall, car sounds like a cessna

upside, you can then run a tip whever the hell you want

no cel's and its been almost a year

Why would you want to pull the cat to begin with? They aren't so restrictive that you are going to lose power when naturally aspirated. And if you go forced induction, you can always get a street legal high flow cat through Carsound/Magnaflow. At least that portion of you build will be legal.

i know its not that restrictive but its just a path i want to take.....i have no reasons to why i just want to......but as far as a high flow cat i couldnt find one for the xb/xa through there site.......as far as being legal and ill i think ima have to look up the laws here in GA but im pretty sure we must have a cat.......

Just get a universal cat from them. You can probably PM Stylis on this site. He is from Precision Muffler. He can tell you exactly which one of their catalytic converters to order.

Jason stay away from the CEL's... Go with a high flow cat like I did. Listen to Dustin and PM Stylis ( Gabe) on here and he will give you the exact model number for it for an xB.. He is also the one who built my Header back exhaust...

Yup. The exhaust will sound like crap. Your neighbors will hate you. They will dislike the sound of your exhaust so much that they will slash your tires during the night. Then, you will come out to find your xB sitting several inches closer to the ground in the morning, and you will cry.

Not having a choice, you will call a tow truck to come get your car and take it to a tire shop. Then while you are home plotting revenge against your neighbors the tow truck driver (who has been up all night drinking) will lose control of his flat bed and roll it into oncoming traffic. Your xB will break loose of the truck and go flying into the bay window of a children's hospital play room, killing dozens of cancer surviving kids.

So you see. It just doesn't make sense go without a resonator. Unless, of course, you like killing 7 year old cancer survivors.

for a flame you might want to go to a turbo, a short exaust pipe and a rich AF

I can get flames out of our B18A when i use a dump pipe off of the turbo but i still have to be smacking the limiter pretty hard.

Try to go with as short a run of pipe as possible.

Like the looks of the glass pac , but more interested in the underbody lights, have a set in the garage wondering how to install.

I see you went thru the bottom. Where did you put the controler, and how did you mount it. My lights are from LED Underbody, and yours.

Thanks for any info you can supply

Jim (lilred} 2006xb luv it
