Default Throttle body question?

Has anyone adapted a throttle body from another car onto a XB? I wanted to see if something like a celica gt throttle body will fit.

yeah i thought about that. the other idea I had was to get the gaskets from both and compare to see if the bolt paterns are the same.

Bigger TB=more air into engine. But also have to remember the MAS.

for a larger throttle body to have ANY effect on your car, you would need to port match your intake manifold as well...i've been wondering about doing this as well....good luck

The MAF sensor passage would have to match the TB. Otherwise it would defeat the whole larger TB thing. Also good thought on port matching the intke to match the TB.

would a CEL go off if you go with a larger diameter tube for the MAS?

Who knows? It's all just speculation at this point. Someone will have to experiment then report back.
