Default TRD sport muffler pipe diameter?

So after contemplating on getting the magnaflow cat back and other brands i decided the TRD sport muffler would be best for me becuase it doesnt sound like a fart pipe and all ricey. Im just going to get the sport muffler and have my local muffler shop make it a catback. Just wondering the pipe size. 2.25 i hope? anyone know?

I'm thinking 2" piping should be a-ok for a 1.5L
I'm thinking 2.25" might be a little overkill.

2.25 is what i hope the TRD sport muffler is, i plan on adding the megan header and possibly going straight pipe. Then later down the road when i get my cosmetics taken care of (tailights, headlights, interior, front lip etc) then i might get a port and polish stroke etc.

2.25" is good for top end. and not all the axle-backs or manifold backs are fart cans/ricey. if piped right with the right resonator, many mufflers can sound good. but if you are gonna just do a straight pipe with a megan header, it will be raspy for sure. no resonator and no cat....not a good idea if you care about the sound. and good luck with the stroker and the port and polish...maybe not the best bang for your buck....might as well just go forced induction

i still got 57k more miles till the port and polish and stroke, i was gonna use a resonator but i was thinking of having my muffler shop hook me up a bolt on and bolt off cat that i can switch out for a straight pipe for smog reasons, think it would sound non rice with the TRD muffler and just a resonator?
