Default TRD supercharger for the 1.5?

Does anyone know if Toyota will produce a supercharger for the 1.5?

uh, wasn't trd only making a turbo for the 1.5? i thought the s/c was for the tc only, and that's a little BIGGER than our engines.

Yeah, that whole desription got me confused. I guess they are using a garrett turbocharger but I guess it's attached to the timing belt on the engine (similar to a supercharger). :?: Okay, i'm no tech. Someone help me here...LOL Or maybe it's like the tC setup which is centrifugal supercharger (it uses a charger shape like turbo) then a long shaft or cylinder heads over to the timing belt . The auto show version of the s/c tC doesnt look like any TRD S/C i've seen.

here that link on the prototype:

Oh I wish the extra 50lbs/ft is a reality even though it may have been measured at the flywheel.

TRD is making a supercharger for the tC...it's already released, and will be available when the car debuts in June.

TRD is making a Turbo for the 1.5. It was at SEMA, and I just saw it again in the new issue of SCION Magazine, which will hit showrooms soon. It's a T25R from Garrett. TRD says that it may never hit production and that it's still in development, but rumors say that it'll be out by the end of next year.

you mean the end of 2004 or 2005? that's a long time to wait for it if it's 2005
