Default warranty up- where to get 4-2-1 header?

i need something for low end so i decided to get a header. is the 4-2-1 better for take off?( may xb is a dog on take off.) i have the injen cai and a precission muffler magnaflow stainless axle back exhaust. it is an automatic and when i pull into traficc and floor it there is a hesitation till it revs up and gets going. so my question is what is a good 4-2-1 header and the link to buy it. i dont want to spend 250-350 bucks though. i have a dc sports strut bar, is it going to be in the way ?because it was a pain in the butt to install.

Monster Motorworks or OBX. They both make 4-2-1.

In the mean time... try turning off your traction control. You'll get some of that off the line speed back.

I'm happy with my OBX 4-2-1 @ 150.00 shipped off of e-bay
also did you remove the slack from accelerator cable
the TB's on our boxes are factory set to open max 75% the cable usually has 1/2 inch slack or more from dealer. they did this to pass gov mpg/emmis ratings
you will gain some response if you take all the slack out w/out affecting rpms

Default here ya go.

open the hood and find the throttle cable next to throttle body . its easy really, just loosen the nuts on cable adjustment and set it so there is little or no slack left then re tighten the nuts. dont tighten so much as to change the rpms. you might have to hold on to tube that cable runs through. one nut moves easy and the other one is stiff to turn. just don't grab the threads. good luck and post results

Yea my auto xa is slow as well from take off. I have the GReddy axle back exhaust. I am looking for more low end power as well. Are people happy with the monster motorworks header? Noticable gains?

hey big bird how do you like that short ram injen intake? I have the cold air Injen intake and am thinking about converting it to short ram. I don't think that it is doing much cold air and good for my car since the ground here in florida is so hot all the time, that hot air is just being sucked in. A friend told me that so I am not sure if it is true or not, but makes sense.

i love it. I dont knw how different it is in the xA, but in the xB, it gets cold air because it is away from everything and right next to the fog cover, so i can take that off and het ure fresh air, or as fresh as jersey air gets. I feel the "cold air" intake from fujita, injen, and aem, dont do anything, becuase of the massive bends they put to make it super legal. I prefer short ram on most aplications. but again, check where the output is for the xA.

I have the MMW 4-2-1 header in my '06 xA 5 sp. Yes, I feel an improvement in accel. I also have a DC strut bar, but I put it in afterwards. I am sure the strut tower would be an obstacle to getting the header in behind the engine for install. I had a struggle with the header even without the strut bar...but I was cheating & didn't take out the tray under the wipers.
