Default Warrenty Questions on an 06 xB (Intake)

I have a 06 xB and i am looking into buying a short ram intake.
Besides the who CARB issue with the carbon filter on the 06's will it break the warrenty?
I dont think it will but my dad says it will and he wont let me get one till i find out

I'm thinking about getting a Fujita SR
and suggestions for another SR?
I'm looking to not spend more then $200

Thanks,
EAmon

short answer = no it will not break warrenty
long answer is = no it will not break warrenty unless installed incorrectly / installation causes another part to become broken / faulty. Only if the dealer can prove that installation of the part caused another to fail, it will void warrenty on that broken part only.
you can call any dealership, they will tell you the same thng,
so go out and get you a short ram!

if for instance, you installed the intake, and lets just say dropped a bolt down in it and fired up the car, and that loose bolt caused an issue for the motor, and you went to the dealer, then they would say that by you installing the intake (negligence by leaving the loose bolt in there) the part you installed caused another part to fail = you are screwed.
but if you install the intake, and all of a sudden your head gasket goes out, you are in the clear, toyota must fix at their expence, thje issue is not related to your intake..
also AEM makes a carb compliant intake for the 06..

"All AEM Cold Air systems are either 50-state legal or pending (excluding "Off Road" and "Hybrid" systems)" quote taken from http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=19

The c.a.r.b. requirement in CA is included in the "50 state legal" = no tickets or problems passing smog...
Tell your dad it's all good, and get that intake!
