Default What is 2006 Scion xB Clutch Life?

I've got a 2006 Scion xB with about 70K mikes on it. On cool humid mornings the clutch will chatter and vibrate a bit as it is engaged. If I drive 15 minutes or more it's all back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Clutch is sort of sticky when damp outside but quickly heals itself. It's only been doing this the last 5K to 10K miles.

What are folks getting for clutch life on the xB's? If you've had a new clutch put in what did it cost you?

Thanks for the help!

My 2005 xA has had clutch problems since the first winter I drove it. It slips when the weather is cold and wet, but is fine after warm up. I think the clutch just isn't quite strong enough.

Now its got 177,000 miles on the original clutch. It developed shifting problems a couple months ago and I thought it was the clutch, since I've never had a clutch last that long. It turns out the problem is with the shift linkage inside the gear box.

I'm sure you've got another 100,000 miles left on your clutch, unless you race it on a regular basis.

I got 340,000 out of the original clutch. Bought a Yaris clutch kit at Autozone for about $125. Worked just fine. Changing it kinda sucked.

Thanks for the responses. I had just about given up getting a response. Sounds like I have a long ways to go if there isn't something wrong with the clutch. Cheers.
