To add to the inaccuracy of the odometer....

I just drove 26.2 miles according to my GPS unit & the xB odometer read only 25.1 miles for the trip.

So basically, the xB odometer reads 4 miles short on a 100 mile journey.

The speedometer also reads about 2 MPH slower than actual at 55 MPH.

I have the stock 185/60/15 tires.

High of 40 MPG on a leisurely 50 MPH cruise on the parkway. (Or 59 MPH according to the ticket I got from the park police.) 30 MPG on the highway at a steady 75 MPH. That was on an 800 mile road trip. I'd also put in 91+ because I had a passenger, a couple hundred pounds of luggage and was driving in the mountains the entire time. Low of 24 in town on 87 with the A/C cranked and mostly short trips.

No problems with power as long as you don't expect to be a speed demon. You do have to wind it up a bit to keep going on occassion. I have a 5 speed and had to drop down to 3rd to maintain 60+ MPH winding over the mountains in a couple spots. With a passenger, luggage and A/C on.

Overall I'd say power is more than adequate- the gearing is well matched to the engine powerband. Which is why you'll spin close to 4000 RPM at 80 MPH. My last vehicle, with 250 HP, would be less than 2500 RPM at 80. But it also got 20 MPG (or less) instead of 30.

I was looking for a 5sp, but i got a good deal on this one. I used to own Nissan 300 zx twin turbo, so I'm kinda scaptical about the box lol. But the milage on the z was really bad specially when I was using the turbos.

yeah the 5th gear in these cars is an absolute joke.
