it bis supposedly the best xa/xb/echo/yaris header but it's way too rich for my blood.

I've got it. Yes, it does have the tabs to bolt up the stock heat shield.

Not sure if it has been corrected yet, but my header would not bolt up to the stock brace that mounts to the motor down near the collector. It was off by about a quarter inch or so. I took the brace off and haven't had any issues without it....that I know of. My header had some pitting inside the tubes up where it is welded to the flange, but I don't believe this has caused me any problems. I suppose that if I was going for all the power that I could get, then it would knock me out of a horse or two becuase of it.

 

The header doesnt bolt to any braces..

 

Are the primaries the same size as the WWM?

That was my point exactly. I shouldn't be telling you how your product is to be installed, but I believe that it's supposed to bolt to the factory support bracket......but the tab isn't welded in the proper position for it to.


The tab that is actually laying on the table is the one that I'm referring to. This should (I believe) bolt up to the stock bracket that supports the header down near the collector. If this is incorrect, then please let us know the purpose for this mounting tab.

im pondering getting one of these headers, weapon-r will the tab location be fixed on fuure headers for the xb or is it non essential? Thanks.

 

i just put mine in last week and everything lined up fine.

 

dexter, did you mount it up to the stock brace near the collector? If so, could you take a pic or two?

 

 

got one of these installed. nice piece, good fitment. pay no attention to their dyno claims though, it's proven for about 4hp in the upper rpm range

 

Did you have to bend that tab or bracket any to get it to fit Dexter? Mine was about a quarter inch off.

 

Hiya samich...do you know what these guys are talking about with the tab not lining up with a brace or something, I know they have xa's, I just wondering if the xb has the same tab/bracket problem with this header. I'm not getting mine for hp but for better mileage thru better air flow, thanks.

 

nope i didn't have to do anything except thread the bolt through a little to get it started.
