xa throwing cel
How long ago did you install the intake? I read a post earlier today, which I can not find now, that talked about creating a short between the battery and the intake. It fried some sort of sensor on the intake and the car would not go past 3000 rpms after that. Sounds similar.
first, try resetting the ecu
second, did you clean the inside of the intake before install?
third, alot of times the MAF sensor gets contaminated with oil from the new filter, could take a month to throw the cel.
you could try cleaning the maf, but be very careful, it is fragile as a hymen. use electronic parts cleaner, but not a direct pressure spray on it, let it dry and re-install.
while you are doing this, if you disconnect the negative battery cable it will re-set the ecu.
good luck, and following these instruction are at your own risk, I did it with no ill effects, but I did it on mine so nothing ventured nothing gained.
