and you could make a pressure plate from a 914 trans fit a v8 flywheel if you drilled and tapped new holes and somehow the flywheels surface met up with the 914 press plate and clutch. if one so wanted. why would they? i have no idea.
when people dso swapos like that they use a custom clutch wit hthe correct size for the v8 while having the correct amount of splines to fit the 914 trans on the clutch disc. .

Those who come to Scions from V8s or heavy clutches,or from real sports cars, or that add quick-shifters and pistol grips, or that like to do speed-shifts and burn-outs -- they are the ones that have trouble with Scions. They are just inexpensive Tokyo taxis, yet so good that with care they can be used as sport cars and long-distance travelers.
