Default Yet another intake question.

I just ordered an Injen IS2100 (short ram) Intake with a heat/splash guard and Injen's hydro shield (similar to K&N's Drycharger) for the xB. Does anyone think I'll have problems with water if I leave it on all year round or am I just being paranoid and ****?!? Also, before I install it which is the best way for the heat shield to be positioned, where should the opening of the shield face? Thanks.

Your filter will be fine. I live in a rainy state with a AEM CAI and I use the injen hydroshield. Works really good.
